Kathryn Carter, MS, WHNP-BC, is a women's health nurse practitioner at New England Women's Healthcare. Her clinical interests include educating women of all ages on gynecological care, preventative screenings, and providing care to women during pregnancy.

Kate earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Rhode Island and her master's degree from Boston College. She is board certified by the National Certification Corporation as a women's health nurse practitioner and is a professional member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecologists and the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women's Health.

Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, Kate worked as an emergency department nurse in Boston, MA. In addition, she worked as a SANE nurse, providing care to survivors of sexual assault. She found her passion for women's health while working with a variety of populations, including sexual assault survivors seen in the emergency department and chose to continue her education in the women's health specialty. Her experience gained from working in emergency medicine for 6 years provided her with a wide range of knowledge that will promote excellent patient care.

When she is not working, Kate enjoys cooking, hiking, playing with her dog, and exploring new restaurants and travel destinations around the country with her family.
