About Dr. Martin
As a board-certified OB/GYN, Melissa Martin, MD, FACOG, is known for her patient-centric approach to wellness and overall women’s health care. She cares for new and existing patients at New England Women's Healthcare in Woburn and Wilmington, Massachusetts.
Dr. Martin double-majored in her undergraduate studies and earned a Bachelor of Science in biology and art history from the University of Delaware, where she graduated cum laude. She went on to complete her Doctor of Medicine at the Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska.
After graduation, Dr. Martin completed her internship and obstetrics and gynecology residency through the University of Connecticut. She went on to become certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, in addition to becoming a fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Dr. Martin maintains several professional memberships. She’s a member of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopy, and the Highland Healthcare Associates IPA, to name a few.
Additionally, Dr. Martin is dedicated to teaching incoming OB/GYN practitioners and serves as a preceptor with the Tufts Medical School Education program at Winchester Hospital. She also volunteers with mission groups overseas, as well as with nonprofit organizations locally in her community whenever possible.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Martin enjoys spending time with her husband, who works as a director at a hospital, and their two young children. Dr. Martin likes to stay active in the great outdoors by running and skiing.
